Oak Grove Baptist Church

About this church

Oak Grove Baptist Church in Waxhaw begins Sundays with small-group Bible study at 9:00 a.m. and worship at 10:00, with the worship service also available live online. Nursery care for children through age three is provided during study and worship in separate infant and toddler rooms. Children ages four through fifth grade normally leave for Children’s Church during the service; on the first Sunday they remain for a children’s sermon. This predictable pattern helps parents know whether their child will worship in the sanctuary or move to an age-specific setting.

Wednesday ministries start at 7:00 p.m. with adult Bible study and prayer, children’s activities, and a student gathering in the Activity House. The youth program combines Bible study with mission trips and partnerships with nearby church groups. Women on Mission offers both an evening meeting on the first Tuesday and a morning meeting on the third Tuesday, centered on service and Christian witness. The church states a desire for unity on essential Christian doctrines while allowing liberty on secondary customs and terminology. Together, livestream access, parallel Wednesday programs, detailed nursery arrangements, and recurring mission groups make Oak Grove especially straightforward for families to compare and visit.
