Union United Methodist Church

About this church

Union United Methodist Church is a Waxhaw congregation combining Sunday worship and education with an open Communion table, children’s participation, a drive-through food pantry, clothing giveaways, and community service. Its current homepage emphasizes one traditional 11:00 service, while older visitor copy still describes a former two-style pattern, so the newest schedule should guide a first visit.

Sunday School for elementary children and adults begins at 10:15 a.m., followed by “Unite” worship at 11:00 onsite and online. Music is led by a coordinator and guitarist, and the Lord’s Supper is offered to anyone wishing to receive on the first Sunday each month. Children are welcome in worship and share a Children’s Moment. The About page still lists a 9:00 “Ignite” contemporary service and calls 11:00 blended, but that earlier hour is absent from the current homepage; visitors specifically seeking 9:00 should confirm before traveling. Dress ranges from suits and skirts to jeans, shorts, and Crocs. In partnership with Common Heart, the Thursday drive-through pantry operates around 6:00–8:00 p.m., subject to parking and food capacity. Christ’s Closet distributes clothing Thursday 4:00–6:00 p.m. and Saturday 10:00 a.m.–noon unless a larger event changes the schedule. Public pages do not specify accessibility, nursery staffing, secure child check-in, or service duration.
