Open Door Baptist Church

About this church

Open Door Baptist Church in Lima holds Sunday School for all ages at 10 a.m., morning worship at 11, and evening worship at 6. Wednesday prayer and Bible study begin at 7 p.m.; the Pathways class for college-age and career young adults meets at the same hour. Sunday worship includes traditional hymns, special music, and Bible teaching and preaching. A nursery and toddler room serves newborns through age three during every service and is described as clean and staffed by caring adults. Teen ministry meets Sundays at 10 and supports middle- and high-school students in faith, character, relationships, participation, and service.

Adult ministry centers on gathering around Scripture and modeling life after Christ, with additional fellowship for young adults and older members. A Soul Winning and Jewel Bagging team distributes copies of John and Romans and church invitations in Lima and surrounding towns. The congregation prayerfully and financially supports more than forty missionaries and mission works and presents itself as a family-oriented Baptist church seeking to serve the greater Lima community. Prayer requests can be submitted online. Open Door has not posted nursery safeguards, disability accommodations, sacramental frequency, streaming, or whether Wednesday ministries pause seasonally.
