Westside United Methodist Church

About this church

Westside United Methodist Church worships at 9 a.m. Sunday at 604 Gloria Avenue in Lima. The congregation describes the service as a time to hear Scripture, proclaim Jesus Christ, sing, pray, praise God, and encourage one another. Recent complete services are posted by date on the church website, providing a useful preview for people who have not attended before. The homepage also announces whether the building is open for Sunday School and worship, so visitors should check current notices during severe weather or unusual seasons.

Children can participate in K.I.D.’s Connection—Kids in Discipleship—during the worship hour. The program provides age-focused Scripture lessons, crafts, activities, and relationships with teachers in a safe setting. Westside organizes its wider purpose around “Connect, Equip, Send,” moving from belonging and Christian learning toward service. Outreach and other ministries give participants ways to apply faith beyond the sanctuary. The church’s description of United Methodist belief emphasizes faith as an active commitment of heart and life: trusting God, following Jesus, and hoping in God’s promised future. Newcomers can contact the office during posted morning phone hours or use the church’s online form before visiting. Because only one weekly worship hour is published, the practical first-visit decision is whether children will remain in the main service or take part in K.I.D.’s Connection.
