Saint Maron Church

About this church

Saint Maron Church in Youngstown is a Maronite Catholic parish with Divine Liturgy at 4:30 p.m. Saturday and 8:30 and 11:00 a.m. Sunday. Weekday liturgies are scheduled Tuesday and Thursday at 8:30 a.m., Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. followed by Holy Hour, and Friday at noon; Monday has no regular liturgy except on holy days. An online Divine Liturgy is available through the parish’s Facebook presence. The congregation grew from Youngstown’s Lebanese Maronite community, whose first immigrants arrived in the city in 1883, and the present church’s first liturgy was celebrated at Christmas in 1973.

The South Meridian Road campus offers ample parking and includes a large recreation area with a bocce court, Antioch Hall, and the Maronite Center for parish and community events. Children and teenagers can connect through Maronite youth organizations, while current parish activities also include flexible friendly visits and companionship for people who may be isolated. For a newcomer familiar only with Roman Catholic worship, the parish offers a chance to encounter the Syriac-rooted Maronite tradition while remaining within the Catholic Church. Consult the official news and events page for feast-day changes, and confirm weekday liturgies before traveling, especially when a holy day alters the Monday schedule.
