Morningside United Methodist Church

About this church

Morningside United Methodist Church is a welcoming and reconciling Salem congregation that combines Christian faith with love, justice, reconciliation, and practical care for neighbors. Sunday worship blends contemporary and traditional elements through music, prayer, Scripture, preaching, a children’s message, and shared laughter. The church describes a community where questions, doubt, previous church hurt, and different abilities can be met with hospitality rather than condemnation.

Worship begins Sunday at 10:00 a.m. in person and online. Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday and all are welcome. Child care serves infants and toddlers; kindergarten through fifth-grade children may leave after Children’s Time for Sunday School, with parents responsible for classroom pickup. Children may also stay in worship. Coffee and snacks follow in Hermann Hall. Dress ranges from dressed-up clothing to jeans, workout wear, and raincoats. The main parking lot offers easy building access, and the church invites people with disability-related questions to arrange a weekday visit. Open Door Youth Group brings grades six through twelve together with four other United Methodist churches, usually Sunday 3:30–5:00 p.m. Public pages do not specify service length, secure check-in, volunteer screening, or livestream delay.
