Ketron Memorial Methodist Church

About this church

Ketron Memorial Methodist Church in Kingsport offers Sunday School at 9:45 a.m. and worship at 11:00. Wednesday Bible study begins at 5:30 p.m. and is led by the pastor as a setting for biblical learning and spiritual growth. The congregation identifies itself as a Wesleyan expression of Christianity and uses the Global Methodist mission language of worshiping passionately, loving extravagantly, and witnessing boldly.

Local service is especially concrete. Ketron distributes food boxes on the third Tuesday of every month for people in the Lynn Garden community and organizes small home projects for neighbors who need help. Children and youth collect a weekly “Noisy Offering” to support Global Methodist missionaries in Thailand. The church’s annual fall apple-butter stir raises funds for ministry to local children, while church-wide spring and fall hikes add an all-age fellowship option. Visitors comparing Methodist churches in Kingsport will find a traditional Sunday morning sequence, an early Wednesday study, recurring food distribution, intergenerational mission giving, and seasonal community activities tied to specific local needs.
