Alcoa Maryville Church of God

About this church

Alcoa Maryville Church of God starts Sunday School at 9:30 a.m. and morning worship at 10:30. Children age three and older have their own Sunday School, followed by Kids Service at 10:30; nursery care is available from six weeks through age three, with parents free to stay or leave children with nursery workers. Wednesday worship begins at 6:30 p.m., and discipleship groups for children, youth, college and career, and adults follow at 7. Middle- and high-school students also use the Sunday School hour and meet Wednesday evening for worship, fellowship, and discipleship.

The congregation describes itself as missional and life-giving, meeting needs locally and globally. Manna Community Outreach grew from a pantry closet into six programs: a large food pantry, God's Closet, Celebrate Recovery, a homeschool co-op, Parents' Day Out, and Buy a Tree Change a Life. The pantry distributes grocery carts to an average of 600 families per month and opens Monday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. for Blount County residents. International teams work with churches and schools on Vacation Bible Schools, teacher training, food distribution, pastor encouragement, evangelism, and local ministry support, including long-term relationships in Kenya and other countries.
