Alpha Baptist Church

About this church

Alpha Baptist Church begins Sunday School at 9:00 a.m. and worship at 10:15 in Morristown, with Wednesday Life Groups at 6:00 p.m. Planted in 1868 to serve the Alpha area, the congregation carries a long local history while organizing its present mission around making disciples. Worship uses a regular mix of hymns and contemporary songs, making the musical style more blended than a visitor might expect from either label by itself.

Guests are encouraged to wear whatever makes them and their families comfortable; the church notes that both casual clothes and traditional dress are common. Ministries include children, students, women, senior adults, music and worship, missions, GriefShare, prayer outreach, and Special Friends. The plan-a-visit page adds practical guidance and explains the service, while Life Groups provide a smaller midweek setting for relationships and biblical formation. Newcomers who want both Sunday School and worship should arrive before 9:00, and families should check current children’s check-in information or seasonal event changes before coming.
