Witt Baptist Church

About this church

Witt Baptist Church lists Sunday School at 9:30 a.m. and worship at 10:30, with the worship service carried live on Facebook. A Wednesday prayer meeting and Bible study begins at 7 p.m. and also streams on Facebook. Sunday School includes nursery, youth, couples, men's, and several women's classes. One class page says Sunday School starts at 10:30, conflicting with the 9:30 time repeated in the site's current schedule across every page; visitors should use 9:30 as the primary listing but confirm before attending.

Music creates another weekly rhythm. The Creative Worship Team practices Sundays at 5 p.m., the adult choir at 6, and the site names a congregational song leader. Men meet for Bible study Sunday nights at 7. Women Walking with God is a monthly 11:30 a.m.–1 p.m. luncheon and study in the Fellowship Hall, with dates announced on the events calendar. Witt's roots reach to a Missionary Baptist congregation organized by thirteen charter members at the Witts Foundry depot in 1883. A first building followed in 1886; the church broke ground for a larger one in 1988 and held its first worship there that Christmas. Its history records creek baptisms, later indoor baptism services, and a centennial in 1983. Witt leaves Sunday duration and musical style, Communion, dress and parking, access and hearing resources, nursery ages and staffing, family check-in and screening, and Facebook-recording retention unaddressed.
