City Church - Corpus Christi

About this church

City Church - Corpus Christi gathers Sundays at 10:30 a.m. at 4425 South Staples Street. The service typically lasts about ninety minutes and blends modern worship with historic Christian practices. Scripture, prayer, confession, singing, preaching, creeds, and weekly Holy Communion form a deliberate journey through the gospel rather than a collection of unrelated elements. The church invites guests to come as they are and describes its community as centered on Jesus, with a vision drawn from the prayer that God’s kingdom and will be realized on earth as in heaven.

Infants and toddlers can enter their classroom in the education building beginning at 10:15. During most of the year, kindergarten through fifth-grade children start in the sanctuary with their families, leave for class before the sermon, and return to receive Communion with their households. The church notes a summer exception: those elementary grades remain in the service, so parents should plan accordingly. City Church says its children’s approach is organized around teaching and protecting children, mobilizing the wider congregation, and equipping parents. This profile may suit people looking for contemporary expression without abandoning weekly Communion, historic creeds, or a service structure shaped by the broader Christian tradition.
