First Baptist Church

About this church

First Baptist Church of Corpus Christi offers two Sunday worship styles at its Ocean Drive campus: blended worship at 8:45 a.m. and modern worship at 11:15. Bible study and Sunday School for all ages meet between them at 10:00, creating an easy path from either service into age-based formation. Online broadcasts let newcomers compare the blended and modern gatherings before choosing. The church describes itself as a place to meet Jesus, build life-giving community, discover gifts, and use them in service, while its history reaches to the late nineteenth century.

Music ministry supports both service formats through bands, instruments, and a worship choir, with Wednesday rehearsals for participants. Children from kindergarten through fifth grade have dedicated ministry, and Wednesday evening discipleship is offered during spring and fall. Mission work connects the congregation to needs in the Coastal Bend and beyond. For someone deciding between Baptist churches in Corpus Christi, the most useful distinction is the morning’s three-part design: an early blended service, a central education hour, and a later modern service. Visitors can choose by style without giving up Sunday School and can preview each stream online before attending.
