First United Methodist Church

About this church

First United Methodist Church serves Corpus Christi from its Shoreline Boulevard campus and offers an early Garden of Grace service at 7:30 a.m. on Sundays. That gathering is held outdoors along Water Street and is in person only, weather permitting, so checking current conditions and church notices is especially important. The church also publishes traditional and contemporary worship resources online, giving prospective visitors a way to preview recent preaching and music before choosing a service.

Children, families, and students have dedicated ministries, with childcare reservations available through the church site. The youth ministry is framed as a place where students can grow in faith, serve with joy, and discover community rather than simply attend an isolated weekly event. The downtown waterfront setting makes the outdoor service distinctive, but it also means weather can alter the plan on short notice. Visitors should use the church’s worship check-in page to verify the full current Sunday schedule, reserve childcare when requested, and confirm where each service meets before arriving.
