First United Methodist Church of Grand Prairie

About this church

First United Methodist Church of Grand Prairie offers an intimate traditional service in Baker Chapel Sunday at 8:30 a.m. At 11, traditional worship gathers in the main sanctuary while Adoración en Español meets in the Youth Building. The early service uses classic hymns, responsive liturgy, prayer, and a weekly message; the wider schedule allows English- and Spanish-speaking households to worship on the same campus. Current service pages should be checked for holiday changes or any additional contemporary format.

The congregation's mission is “loving our community into becoming followers of Jesus Christ.” Children from age four through fifth grade can explore Bible stories in Sunday School and use other gatherings for games, fellowship, and spiritual growth in the Children's Building. Local mission includes the Body of Christ Food Center, which distributes groceries to families each month. Worship, children, missions, and language-specific ministry present several ways to enter the church beyond a single service style. A first-time guest can choose the quieter chapel setting or the larger sanctuary; Spanish-speaking visitors should go directly to the Youth Building at 11. Families wanting Sunday School should confirm its current hour, since the ministry page describes the age range and location without publishing a universal weekly time.
