Southminster Presbyterian Church

About this church

Southminster Presbyterian Church in Missouri City gathers for Sunday School from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. and worship at 10:30, with fellowship before and after the service and a livestream for people at home. The congregation describes church life as a family where faith and everyday life meet, emphasizing shared discipleship, prayer, care, and practical expressions of Christ's love.

Sunday children's ministry includes a nursery for newborns through age four and Children's Church for ages four through fifth grade. Southminster connects its Presbyterian practice of infant baptism with a promise to support parents as children grow in faith. Deacons organize pastoral care through smaller congregational groups, and GriefShare accompanies people through loss; outward mission extends that care to neighbors beyond the church. A first-time household can attend the 9:00 education hour or arrive for the fellowship period before 10:30, while families should ask at check-in whether a child is best placed in the nursery or Children's Church.
