About this church
Dogwood Hills Baptist Church opens Sunday with Bible study at 9:30 a.m.; worship follows at 10:45 at 3400 North Highway 79 in Palestine. The congregation calls itself a Christ-centered community rather than simply a place, emphasizing mutual love, growth, and service. Its regular schedule also lists Wednesday Bible study at 7 p.m., a men's breakfast at 6:30 Monday morning, and several school-year children's and student activities. Recent 2026 worship videos let visitors sample current preaching before attending.
Children's Sunday classes divide into nursery, preschool, kindergarten-first grade, second-third grade, and fourth-sixth grade. During worship, nursery continues through age two, with separate children's church groups for preschoolers and kindergarten through second grade. All children's and student workers require staff approval plus nationwide criminal and sex-offender background checks. Seventh through twelfth graders study from 9:30 to 10:30 Sunday and meet Wednesday evening for games or worship, Bible study, and small groups; summer camps and mission projects expand that rhythm. The church formally adopts the Baptist Faith and Message 2000, affirming Scripture, the Trinity, Christ's redemption, and the Holy Spirit. A household can attend all-age study before worship, use a precisely defined children's room, and check current school-year meal and program dates rather than assuming the same Wednesday pattern during summer.
