Southside Baptist Church

About this church

Southside Baptist Church is a Baptist congregation in Palestine, Texas, providing Christ-centered worship, biblical learning, and service for people across life stages. The church emphasizes applying Scripture to everyday life and building community beyond a weekend service. Music ranges from hymns to newer worship songs. Children’s ministry divides nursery, preschool, and elementary ages into safe, interactive environments with prayer, worship, crafts, and Bible teaching; student ministry offers separate spaces for junior-high, senior-high, and college participants to learn, worship, serve, and form relationships.

Sunday Bible study begins at 9:00 a.m., followed by worship at 10:30 and an evening Bible study at 5:30. The church is located at 1500 Crockett Road. Guests can expect coffee, a multigenerational ministry setting, and help connecting to classes. Nursery staff care for children through age two, including feeding, changing, comfort, play, prayer, and a simple worship song. Preschool lessons focus on foundational truths about God’s creation, love, and friendship through Jesus, while elementary programming builds knowledge of Scripture. Student event times change, so teenagers and college students should use the ministry’s current messaging group or calendar rather than rely on a standing weekly assumption.
