The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - Alpine View Ward, Herriman

About this church

The Alpine View Ward meetinghouse of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is located at 4617 W Patriot Ridge Dr in Herriman, Utah, one of twelve buildings the directory lists in the city. The nearest other meetinghouse is about half a mile away, and this building includes a wheelchair-accessible entrance, parking lot, restroom, and seating.

Three congregations rotate through, starting earlier than most: the Alpine View Ward at 8:30 a.m., the Patriot Ridge Ward at 11 a.m., and the Juniper Crest Ward at 1:30 p.m. Congregations are organized by neighborhood, which is why several share this one building at staggered hours. Whichever slot a visitor chooses, the sacrament meeting runs close to an hour, with hymns, prayers, the sacrament of bread and water, and talks from members of the congregation, followed by a second hour of classes and Primary for children. Attendance is free, no collection plate is passed, and visitors are welcome. Many attendees dress up for Sunday, though a first-time guest is fine coming as they are. A short call ahead of time is worthwhile, since local schedules like this one are set locally and updated periodically.
