The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - Sage Hills Ward, Saratoga Springs

About this church

The Sage Hills Ward meetinghouse of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints sits at 2947 S Swainson Ave in Saratoga Springs, Utah, one of seventeen buildings the directory lists in the city. The nearest other meetinghouse is about half a mile off, and the building offers a wheelchair-accessible entrance, parking lot, restroom, and seating.

Four congregations rotate through on Sundays: the Sage Hills Ward at 9 a.m., the Mallard Bay Ward at 10:30 a.m., the Saratoga Springs 7th Ward, meeting in Spanish, at 12 p.m., and the Heron Hills Ward at 1:30 p.m. Someone wanting a Spanish-language meeting should plan on midday. Membership is assigned geographically, which is why several congregations share this one building. A sacrament meeting runs close to an hour, with hymns, prayers, the sacrament of bread and water, and talks from members, followed by a second hour of classes and Primary for children. There's no cost to attend and no plate passed. Most members dress somewhat formally, though a visitor can come as they are. Because local leaders adjust these schedules, a short call ahead of a first visit is sensible.
