Trinity United Methodist Church

About this church

Trinity United Methodist Church combines worship at 10 a.m. from mid-May through August, blending contemporary songs, hymns, spirituals, Scripture, and one sermon in an intergenerational service. From September through May, modern worship begins at 9 a.m. with upbeat music, a relaxed structure, and sharp-casual dress; traditional worship follows at 11 with procession, choir, organ, piano, inherited liturgy, and more formal dress. Sunday worship streams through the church site, YouTube, and Facebook. Holy Communion is normally celebrated on first Sundays and holy days.

Kids Church meets during modern worship, with drop-off and pickup in the chapel. During the traditional service, children from birth through age five may use the nursery, and older children can pick up worship bags at the Welcome Center. Youth worship with the congregation, attend seasonal Youth Cafe or Confirmation at 10 a.m., and gather Sundays from 5 to 7 p.m. for fellowship and small groups. Founded in Richmond in 1790, Trinity now emphasizes children, youth, groups, missions, and music. Partners include food pantries, schools, farms, health ministries, housing and disaster-relief organizations. Guests will need to inquire about how long worship runs, family security and volunteer checks, parking, wheelchair accommodations, assistive-listening equipment, and Communion guidance.
