Church of the Good Shepherd

About this church

Church of the Good Shepherd in Vienna holds Christian education classes Sundays at 9:00 a.m. and worship at 10:15, followed by fellowship. The service includes music, prayer, Scripture, preaching, and a children's message. Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of most months and every Sunday during Advent and Lent. Clothing ranges from casual to Sunday best. The church publishes online worship for people participating from home.

Children of every age are welcome in the service. Nursery care is available for infants through age three during the education hour and worship, and Worship Discovery gives children ages four through six an optional activity after the pastor's children's time. Rocking chairs outside the sanctuary offer another family-friendly break. Junior- and senior-high Sunday School meets at 9:00 from September through June. The United Methodist congregation combines worship with adult study, Heifer support, solar-energy mission work, youth activities, and monthly fellowship. Its first-visit page is useful for people comparing churches because it answers questions about clothing, children, classes, and post-service connection without assuming prior Methodist experience.
