NewCity Church

About this church

NewCity Church schedules Sunday worship for 9 and 10:45 a.m. in Vienna. The congregation belongs to the Presbyterian Church in America and describes its convictions through the Bible as God's inspired Word, the Trinity, God's plan of salvation, and the PCA's confessional standards. Nursery care for children from birth through age two is offered during both services. The 10:45 gathering adds classes from preschool through high school, while families with older students are encouraged to worship together during the first service rather than treating Sunday School as a replacement for congregational worship.

Preschool classes balance structured teaching about God's love, catechism, and worship with free play. Kindergarten through fifth grade and separate middle- and high-school classes extend biblical formation; middle schoolers study the Westminster Catechism, while high schoolers work through the Westminster Confession and hands-on service. Families register children for the ministry year so the church can plan classes and volunteers. For people touched by special needs, the welcome table supplies sensory kits with noise-canceling headphones and fidgets, and a sensory room offers specialized seating, lighting, and tools. Student gatherings on selected Fridays combine games, worship, snacks, community, and Scripture. Family Groups provide intergenerational relationships beyond Sunday. NewCity leaves several practical items unstated: service duration, musical format and Communion practice, attire, parking, wheelchair access, nursery security and screening, livestream options, and hearing support beyond its sensory resources.
