Mt Zion Lutheran Church

About this church

Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Wauwatosa celebrates its primary worship service Sundays at 9:30 a.m. The gathering blends organ hymns and Lutheran liturgy with contemporary praise music, vocal choir, and handbells. Every service includes Communion, which the church describes as a central reminder of God's grace in baptism. Children in kindergarten through fifth grade leave for Sunday School after Communion.

Mt. Zion is a Reconciling in Christ congregation and describes itself as a welcoming community passionate about faith and justice. Coffee, tea, cocoa, and refreshments follow worship in the Gathering Space, creating a clear point of connection for newcomers. The parking lot and main entrance are behind the church off 120th Street, an important arrival detail because the listed street address faces North Avenue. Visitors can review the service page for the worship flow and the Reconciling in Christ page for the congregation's specific welcome before attending.
