What Does 1 Chronicles 2:15 Mean?
At last the chronicler names David, the great king toward whom this entire genealogy has been moving. He is listed as the seventh of Jesse's sons, the youngest, the shepherd boy whom Samuel anointed when his brothers had all been passed over. The whole chapter has been clearing a path to this name.
David was the least likely, kept in the fields with the sheep while his brothers stood before the prophet, yet he was God's chosen king.
