What Does 1 Corinthians 3:8 Mean?
Having shown that no servant is anything in himself, Paul now joins them together. The planter and the waterer are one, partners in a single task rather than rivals heading competing camps.
At the same time, each is known individually before God and will receive his own reward according to his own labour. Unity does not erase the worth of each person's work. God sees what each one gives and answers it, so faithfulness in one place is never wasted or overlooked.
