What Does 1 Kings 6:5 Mean?
A ring of side rooms is built against the outer walls, surrounding the whole structure on its sides and back. These chambers would serve the temple's storage and service, wrapped around the holy rooms within.
Here the inner sanctuary is first called the oracle, the most sacred place where God would meet His people. The lesser rooms encircle and serve the holiest space at the center.
