What Does 2 Corinthians 4:10 Mean?
Paul now interprets all his sufferings through the cross. He carries about in his body 'the dying of the Lord Jesus' — his daily afflictions are a participation in what Christ endured. The marks of persecution become, in his flesh, a kind of conformity to the crucified Lord.
But death is never the last word here. The purpose is resurrection: 'that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest.'
