Acts 1:12 Meaning and Explanation

Olivet, the Mount of Olives, eastward from Jerusalem. The apostles descend from the place of departure and return to the city, back into community, back to wait. The detail about a sabbath day's journey is telling: by Jewish law, one could walk about 2,000 cubits on the sabbath and still observe rest.
