Acts 13:30 Meaning and Explanation

With three words Paul pivots the whole sermon: but God raised Him from the dead. After the rejection, the death, and the burial comes the great reversal wrought by God's own hand. The tomb was not the end.

Here is the center of the gospel and the hope of the world. What human hands had done in condemning Jesus, God undid by raising Him to life. Death could not hold the sinless one. The resurrection is God's mighty answer, vindicating His Son and securing salvation for all who believe. Every promise rests on this: the Savior lives, and because He lives, His people may live also.
