What Does Acts 15:35 Mean?
With the crisis resolved, Paul and Barnabas settle back into the daily labor of Antioch: teaching and preaching the word of the Lord. Luke adds a telling phrase — 'with many others also.' The ministry of that great church rests on many shoulders, not on two famous names.
Councils end, and the ordinary work of the word resumes; that ordinary work is the life of the church. A congregation where many teach, serve, and tell of Christ is exactly what the apostles labored to leave behind in every place. Most of the growth of the kingdom still happens this way — not in famous assemblies, but in faithful, unrecorded days spent teaching the word of the Lord.
