What Does Acts 5:31 Mean?
Peter completes the great reversal: men slew him; God exalted him to the right hand, the place of highest honor and power (Psalm 110:1), and named him Prince and Saviour, the leader who goes before his people and the rescuer who saves them.
Most striking is who the offer reaches: repentance and forgiveness held out to the very men with his blood on their hands. Repentance itself is named as Christ's gift, the open door of turning back to God, and forgiveness waits on the other side of it. No one who turns to him stands beyond this gift.
