What Does Acts 8:28 Mean?
The pilgrimage is over, and whatever the eunuch found in Jerusalem, he is still seeking: he rides home with the scroll of Isaiah open before him. Scrolls were costly; this man has spent wealth and miles on his hunger for God.
He does not yet understand what he reads (verse 31), but he keeps reading — and God honors exactly that. The Lord meets people on the road home, mid-question, with the text still open.
