What Does Amos 2:11 Mean?
Beyond the land, God gave Israel spiritual gifts: prophets to speak His word and Nazarites, young men set apart by vow to live consecrated, simple lives as living signs of devotion. "Is it not even thus?" the Lord asks, pressing them to admit the truth of His goodness.
God did not leave His people without voices calling them upward. He raised leaders of holiness from their own families, witnesses to a life wholly given to Him. Such gifts are themselves a mercy. The Lord still raises up those who speak truth and live set-apart lives among us. To despise or silence them is to despise the kindness that sent them.
