What Does Ephesians 1:19 Mean?
The third thing Paul prays they would see is God's power -- and he piles up words to convey its scale: 'the exceeding greatness of his power.' Language strains here because the reality is beyond measure. This is not distant power but power directed 'to us-ward who believe.'
Crucially, this power is at work on our behalf, not merely in the abstract. The same strength that upholds the universe is engaged for the good of God's people.
