What Does Galatians 1:11 Mean?
He now turns to tell his story, and the point of the whole story is this opening claim: the gospel he preaches is not of human manufacture. It was not invented, refined, or handed down through ordinary instruction. Its origin is above.
This matters because the troublers were appealing to human authority and tradition. Paul answers that his message came by a higher route. What he received, he received from God, and so it cannot be edited by anyone claiming mere human credentials.
