What Does Galatians 1:12 Mean?
Paul did not sit at the feet of a teacher to learn this gospel, nor did he piece it together from others. It came to him by revelation — by Christ himself unveiling the truth. On the Damascus road, the risen Lord met him and turned his whole life around.
This is why Paul will not negotiate the message. He did not receive it secondhand, so he cannot trade it away as though it were his to revise. The gospel reached him directly from its Author, and a servant has no right to alter his Master's words.
