What Does Galatians 1:16 Mean?
The purpose of Paul's calling was to make Christ known, and the audience was the nations. God revealed his Son not only to Paul but in him, so that the message and the messenger became one. The change was inward before it was public.
And once called, Paul did not run to get human approval. He 'conferred not with flesh and blood.' This is part of his argument: his gospel did not pass through any human filter that could have shaped or corrupted it. It came straight from God to Paul, ready to be preached.
