This verse completes the arc of Christ's suffering and obedience. Brought to His appointed completion through all He endured, He became the author of eternal salvation, the very source from whom rescue flows, for all who obey Him.
'Made perfect' does not mean He was once flawed; it means His path was carried fully to its goal, the whole work of obedience finished.
