Context
The redeemed people will be so restored and so evident in their blessing that neighboring nations will see and recognize God's favor on them.
What Does Isaiah 61:9 Mean?
The faithful become a visible sign: blessing so evident that strangers see it. Their children, their words, their way of life carry a mark. What the world is looking for, security, joy, a grounded hope, is written in them. The Gentiles will know them; the peoples will acknowledge them. This is not hidden faith but manifest grace, plain to see. It spreads through generations; the children inherit the blessing and wear it visibly.
This is what draws others into faith: not argument alone but the sight of a people genuinely flourishing under God's hand. They are known, recognized, acknowledged as blessed. There is no shame in them, no bitterness, no scarcity. They shine.
Application
Our faith and our joy are not private; they witness to the world. Others will see in us whether God is real, whether he blesses, whether he is worth following. Live as blessed people, visibly.
