What Does Job 33:32 Mean?
Elihu is no tyrant of the conversation. He makes room for Job to respond and reveals his true heart: he is not seeking to condemn Job but longs to see him cleared and set right.
Correction offered in love wants the other’s vindication, not their defeat. Elihu would rejoice to declare Job righteous if he could. This is the spirit of one who corrects as a friend, and a faint echo of the God who disciplines not to destroy but in hope of our restoration.
