What Does Job 34:21 Mean?
Elihu now grounds God's justice in His perfect knowledge: 'his eyes are upon the ways of man, and he seeth all his goings.' Nothing escapes His sight. Because God sees every path a person walks, His judgments are never made in ignorance. He governs with complete and immediate knowledge of all that we do.
This all-seeing gaze is both searching and tender. To the evildoer it is a warning; to the faithful, a deep comfort, for the God who sees all sees their hidden tears and unseen faithfulness too. 'The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.' We are never overlooked, never forgotten. The One who sees every step walks with us along the way.
