Job 36:2 Meaning and Explanation

Elihu begs patience for a little longer. He casts himself not as Job's accuser but as a spokesman pleading the cause of God, convinced that the divine character has not yet been fully set before the suffering man.

To speak on God's behalf is a weighty thing, and Elihu does it with more reverence than Job's three friends. Yet the desire to vindicate God's goodness finds its perfect answer only in the One who is the Word made flesh, who speaks for the Father not in part but in full.
