What Does Job 36:3 Mean?
Elihu announces his method and his aim. He will gather knowledge from far off, ranging beyond the narrow quarrel, and the whole purpose of his speaking is to lay righteousness at the feet of the One who made him.
To ascribe righteousness to God is the heart of true worship: confessing that He is in the right even when His ways are hidden. This is the posture the Gospel deepens, for at the cross God shows Himself both just and the One who makes the unrighteous righteous.
