What Does Job 39:10 Mean?
Continuing about the wild ox, the Lord pictures the ordinary labor of farming, binding an ox to plow straight furrows and break up the valley soil, and asks if Job could ever make this untamed creature do such work.
The image is almost humorous: the mightiest of beasts will not stoop to a farmer's harness. Job's tools and ropes are useless here. He is shown again that raw power in creation lies beyond his governing. Only its Maker can direct such strength.
