What Does Job 41:10 Mean?
This is the hinge of the whole portrait. No one is reckless enough to rouse leviathan; and God draws the conclusion straight to Himself. If the creature is untouchable, who then could confront the Creator?
The question is not boastful but clarifying. Job had longed to argue his case before God; here he is gently shown the immeasurable distance between them. Yet the wonder of the gospel is that this unapproachable God draws near to His people, and through His mercy the trembling may at last stand before Him unafraid, clothed not in their own strength but in His grace.
