The arrow cannot put the creature to flight, and slingstones, deadly to lesser foes, become as stubble against its hide. The weapons that felled giants are nothing here.
Once more the creature stands beyond the reach of human force, immovable where others would flee. The believer, set against trials that no human strength can drive off, learns to look past the arrow and the stone to the God who alone subdues what we cannot. Where our resources turn to stubble, His sufficiency remains, and in Him the fearful find a courage not their own.
