What Does John 9:24 Mean?
The second interrogation opens with an oath-like formula. "Give God the glory" was a solemn charge to tell the truth before him — the very words spoken to Achan (Joshua 7:19). Then comes the pressure: "we know that this man is a sinner." The conclusion is supplied before the witness speaks.
