What Does Joshua 11:1 Mean?
After the southern campaign of chapter 10, the narrative turns north. Jabin, who reigns from Hazor, the leading city of the region, hears what Israel has done and moves quickly to summon neighboring rulers. Madon, Shimron, and Achshaph are city-states whose kings he calls to join him.
