Joshua 12:13 Meaning and Explanation

Debir, also called Kirjath-sepher, was a city in the southern hill country taken during Joshua's sweep through the region; Geder lay among the same southern settlements. Both kings are entered into the record.

Some of these names are now obscure, their cities long vanished from memory. Yet God remembered each one and saw fit to record His victory there. He overlooks nothing. The same care that names a forgotten town tends to the small and hidden places of every life. No deliverance is too minor for His notice, and none is left out of His faithful account.
