What Does Joshua 12:19 Mean?
Madon and Hazor belonged to the great northern alliance. Hazor was the head of those kingdoms, and its king Jabin had gathered a vast host with horses and chariots, 'as the sand that is upon the sea shore,' to fight Israel at the waters of Merom.
That this mighty coalition is reduced to two brief entries speaks volumes. The largest army, the strongest chariots, the chief city of the north -- all gave way before the Lord.
